Workin saturday til noon , then I am off for a week . Spending mon-thurs in Roscommon,MI doing some household repairs and play lumberjack on a few jackpine. Then back home #1 to continue the yard reconstruction . sunday will head back to Bluffton OH to resume work on monday the 12th.

They will get a hunting without a licence fine and loose their jobs , if they get hit hard.
That is true Dave , the state will make big bucks off this . Does that **** of a Gov from Canada we have ride a dirt bike or ATV ,snowmobile? fuc* no . With the tourism being down they will do anything to make a buck , and we are going to take the hit . You can bet out ORV stickers will go up next year too , but yet out of state folks pay the same we property owners do . They pay 16.50 an think they own the place.

I agree 100% Fred , I was up over the 4th , Ive never seen it like this . Usually the trails are packed . not the case this year . My first thought of this new law was that in an emergency ,help can be sought out much quicker, this might come in handy riding with FTCM and his kids.
I hear a story once of a guy breaking his collar bone in the trails , rode shoulder of a gravel road back to the parkinglot and got a ticket for riding ORV on public roads.

For oil companies, vast holdings of federal oil and gas leases, even if undeveloped, show up in their financial records as assets that help attract investors.
“Absolutely,” said Mark Burford, director of investor relations for Tom Brown Inc., a Denver-based independent oil company. Tom Brown has more than 850,000 acres of federal land under lease, but just 22 percent is listed as producing, according to BLM records.
“In our investor presentations, we talk about the very large inventory of drilling locations on our acres that are prospective, and a lot of that would still be undeveloped,” Burford said. “But based on our knowledge of the producing areas and the formations, that acreage is very prospective and very likely to work out as far as becoming producing.”
Tom Brown is one of a half dozen large oil companies that in recent years have exceeded the federal limit on the number of leased acres they can control in any one state. BLM officials acknowledged that they have granted repeated extensions for the companies to comply with the law, instead of exercising their legal right to cancel leases of companies in violation of the law.
Those six companies — Tom Brown, Encana Oil and Gas, Anadarko, BP Amoco, Devon Energy and Marathon Oil — together controlled 3.9 million acres of federal oil and gas leases in March, according to BLM records. Just 1.2 million acres, or 30.8 percent of the total, is actually producing oil and gas.
And this effects the price of gas how?

All this oil stuff is BULL**** . I have a lifelong friend that has been traveling the world for the past 3 years , different site about every 6 weeks . He works on the drilling rigs . He tells me just a few weeks ago there are tens of thousands of live wells capped off all over the planet, some of which havnt been tapped in 20 years . All they have to do is pump it out of the ground . Also , every drilling rig built since about 1980 is still in opperation , they dont stop except to move it over and drill another well . The only reason gas prices are high is because we have to have it.
